How to Get to Koh Phayam from Bangkok

Traveling to Koh Phayam is relatively easy and can be done in several ways.

Step 1: Travel to Ranong

The island is located near Ranong Province in southern Thailand.

You can reach Ranong by:

✈️ Flight from Bangkok to Ranong (about 1 hour) 🚌 Bus from Bangkok (around 9–10 hours)

From Ranong Pier, boats travel regularly to Koh Phayam.

There are two types of boats:

Speedboat – about 40 minutesSlow boat – about 2 hours

Most travelers choose the speedboat because it is faster and more convenient.

Boats usually arrive at Koh Phayam Pier. From there you can take a motorbike taxi or walk to nearby hotels.
